If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Site or all the functionality of the Services. As part of the Services, YouSendIt's registered users may send a User File, or a notice of a shared User File, to one or more recipients identified by a valid email address. The message created by the YouSendIt registered user will be sent from YouSendIt on the YouSendIt registered user's behalf to the email addresses the YouSendIt registered user enters into the online form. These email addresses will be stored in the address book the YouSendIt registered user creates and will be used only for the purpose of sending such email communications to the addressee.
When using the YouSendIt Applications we will access your local device contacts for the sole purpose of allowing you to select recipients to whom you wish to send a User File, or a notice of a shared User File. We transmit this information via an encrypted connection.
Identity theft and the practice currently known as "phishing" are of great concern to YouSendIt. Safeguarding information to help protect you from identity theft is a top priority. We do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, your account ID, login password, or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication. For more information about phishing, visit the Federal Trade Commission's web site.
