CAMPBELL, Calif. – May 15, 2012 - YouSendIt, Inc., today announced it has appointed Brad Garlinghouse as chief executive officer and chairman of its board of directors. A former senior executive who led key groups at both Yahoo! and AOL, Garlinghouse is a proven leader with a track record of driving significant results.

YouSendIt generated record revenue in 2011, up 61 percent over the prior year. Growth was driven by deployments in organizations such as AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Clorox Services Company, The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, JWT, Sesame Workshop and the State of Alaska.
Garlinghouse has previously served as CEO of Dialpad Communications, one of the world’s largest providers of VoIP services. Under his direction, the company’s user base grew from just over 2 million to 14.5 million, and he successfully diversified revenue sources from advertising to premium services. Earlier in his career, he led venture capital investments in software, communications and SaaS businesses at @Ventures. He also has held product and marketing leadership positions at @Home Network, TCI Internet Services and SBC Communications.
Garlinghouse received a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Kansas. In addition to YouSendIt, he serves on the boards of Animoto and CloudOn.
Garlinghouse replaces Ivan Koon, who is stepping down after successfully building the company over the past six years.
