SOC 2 Type 2 Report – YouSendIt obtained a Service Organization Control 2 Type 2 report when our security policies and controls were audited.
Encryption – Data is encrypted in transit and while at rest on both mobile devices and YouSendIt for Business servers. Files are AES 256-bit encrypted when stored on iPad, iPhone and Android devices; 128-bit SSL encrypted with Class 3 certificates while in transit; and data is AES 256-bit encrypted in cloud storage at YouSendIt’s data centers.
Enforce retention policies – Set expiration dates for files sent and also for files received through YouSendIt for Business dropbox. IT administrators can determine whether users override this policy or not.
Require verify recipient identity (VRI) – Mandate that only intended recipients can download files or access shared folders. Once this policy is set, recipient identity must be validated before downloading or accessing files and folders. Recipients cannot forward protected content of any kind to additional people outside the intended workflow.
Create whitelists and blacklists – Set policy for domains users are allowed to exchange digital information with, including sending, sharing and receiving content.
Enforce log-in to YouSendIt for Business dropbox – Require users to log-in with YouSendIt for Business credentials before sending a file to YouSendIt for Business dropbox, adding another layer of control and security.
Manage mobile device security – Enforce application password protection on mobile devices, and set policy to purge local data from the device after a certain set and configurable number of failed log-in attempts.
