Graphic designers have been pleasantly surprised by the photo editing and online storage applications coming to the iPad.

Adobe's recent announcement that it will finally be bringing its industry-leading Photoshop creative suite to the iPad has quickly captured the attention of the digital design community. When combined with effective online data storage and file sharing applications, iPad owners now have the freedom to capture, edit and upload images of impressive quality from the palms of their hands.

According to PC Magazine, Adobe's Photoshop Touch for iPad is the perfect successor to the tablet's previous Photoshop Express app. By integrating a more extensive portion of the desktop version's core features, and leveraging the impressive performance of the iPad 2's on-board camera, graphic designers now have a powerful means of creating on the go.

"People will be amazed with what they can create on the iPad using Photoshop Touch," Adobe executive David Wadhwani told the news source. "Photoshop Touch combines the magic of Photoshop and its core features with the convenience of a tablet, bringing image-editing power to the fingertips of millions."

Aside from its robust suite of creative tools, there are a number of features to facilitate file sharing and collaboration. According to PC Magazine, the abilities to upload images to Facebook or find a photo in Google Image Search are seamlessly integrated into the app. However, the effects of Photoshop Touch for the iPad can be significantly extended when paired with a separate, more established content management application.

With a greater portion of the creative process taking place on tablet touchscreens, storage capacity could become a concern. Instead of relying on the iPad's small but serviceable hard drive, it may be better to take advantage of online data storage applications. Not only will these utilities keep content safe, they can make sharing and syncing files between devices exponentially easier.
